The Central Illinois Police and Working Dog Association is hosting the 2009 Police Dog Championships and Regional Schutzhund Championships on November 6th-8th. The cut off date for entries is October 24th.

Judge - Wendell Nope

Wendell began his career in law enforcement in August of 1976, first in Uniform Patrol and Later in the K-9 Patrol divisions for the Lake Charles Police Department. He later accepted a position with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Department were he performed management duties for the K-9 Unit. During his tenure with this department, He became the first American Law enforcement officer permitted to receive instruction at the foremost Police Service Dog training facility in West Germany, where he graduated with honors, and received commendations from the West German government.
